Congregational Lenten Advocacy Circles
NE MN Synod EcoFaith Network with Lutheran Advocacy-Minnesota
and Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light
“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world, and all those who dwell therein.”
Psalm 24:1

Do you worry about what is happening to our neighbors and our environment, but are not sure what you can do on your own? Do you know others in your congregation who are also concerned? Would you like to offer a way to take positive action together?
The NE MN Synod EcoFaith Network, along with Lutheran Advocacy-Minnesota will launch an Advocacy Circles Pilot Project during Lent. Advocacy circles will gather weekly during Lent to share information, write cards and make calls, then celebrate and evaluate with other pilot congregations afterwards. Information will be provided by ELCA Action Alerts, Lutheran Advocacy-Minnesota, and Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light.
To participate, congregations simply need:
1. A couple of people interested in convening a circle
2. The support of the pastor, deacon, or S.A.M., and
3. Willingness to participate in the orientation and follow-up.
Support will be available throughout.
