June 7, 2026: Pollinator Sunday

“The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it” (Psalm 24:1)!
In 2023, the NE MN Synod ELCA became a “Pollinator Synod”, dedicated to living out our call as pollinators of the gospel in our witness to God’s love in Jesus Christ for all creation.
Pollinator plots, dedicated land planted with native wildflowers and grasses, are designed to attract and support threatened pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. 53 congregations in our synod have plots and the number continues to grow.
Whether your congregation has a plot or is considering one, you are invited to celebrate “Pollinator Sunday” on June 7, 2026, the first Sunday of the Green Season. Resources including a litany, prayers, children’s sermon, hymn suggestions, and preaching resources will be provided on the EcoFaith Network website.
Join us the “plotting” to celebrate the great gift of God’s love for all creation and our dedication to preserving and enhancing it.
